AMALFI (SA) - Cathedral

AMALFI (SA) – Cattedrale
AMALFI (SA)
We are restoring the organ of Amalfi Cathedral, an important instrument built in 1963 as Opus n. 835, consisting of two separate divisions: the larger one is located in the choir loft above the entrance and including Gr. Organ, Espressivo and Pedal, while the second one is installed in the richly decorated wooden case of a pre-existing instrument located on the Epistolae side of the presbytery and constitutes the Choir organ.
The console, located to the left of the altar, is composed by three keyboards and a radial concave pedalboard and controls a total of 40 sound registers.
The work is taking place both on site, with the cleaning and restoration of the entire instrument, and at our workshop, where all worn electropneumatic transmission parts are being overhauled and rebuilt.
