Mascioni Crosses the Ocean
We’re proud to announce Mascioni’s first ever foray into the USA: a three-manual, 45-stop organ for St Joseph Church, Columbia, South Carolina.
The organ will be placed on the west gallery, in two symmetrical cases either side of the choir space in C and C# sides. To aid singing further, the Swell organ has a double swell front facing both across the gallery and down the nave. Traditional slider soundboards with direct electric action will be used, linked to a mobile draw-knob console in the choir space.

To further facilitate singing, the expressive organ will have a double opening facing both the gallery and the nave. Traditional electrically-actuated pull-action mummers will be used, connected to a console with pull-action knobs located in the choir space.
Construction will begin in late 2028, and we’ll be on site by mid-2030. That seems like a long wait. But the result will be something we’ve waited two centuries to achieve.
