THE MASCIONI 1924-1938-2025
The restoration and extension of the Mascioni organ op. 359 located in the parish church of San Martino di Lupari, originally built by Vincenzo Mascioni in 1924 for the old church by integrating part of the phonic material of the old Callido organ, has been completed; it can be said that a large part of the organ's Ripieno is composed of Callido pipes, including the pipes of the Human Voice.
Originally the instrument was composed by two manuals and adopted pneumatic transmissions; it was inaugurated in concert by Maestro Oreste Ravanello and Don Emilio Fuvizzani in 1925. Later, in 1938, with the construction of the new church, it was dismantled and reassembled in its current location, in the choir, electrified in its controls and equipped with a new electric transmission console with variations to the composition.
The instrument is completely hidden behind the choir stalls and the phonic bodies are divided as follows: the Gr. Organo immediately behind the stalls, behind it on the same level the Recitativo espressivo with the Pedale and the basseria momieri on either side of the two master momieri.
The organ was completely restored in every part with work carried out both on site and in our workshop, which included the reconstruction of all worn electropneumatic transmission parts, the updating of the console transmission system and the phonic extension in the Pedal section with the addition of the following registers: Acoustic Bass 32′, Bombard 16′, Trumpet 8′, Octave 4′.
The opening concert will be given by Maestro Thomas Ospital on Saturday 11 April at 8.45 pm.
